My dogs are adorable and charming, even when they’re up to no good. When my Frenchie, Hugo, isn’t snorting, farting, or getting his ears licked by his sister (oddly, no complaints there), he’s busy with arts and crafts. One of his recent projects was stripping the paint off the base of our black wooden entertainment center in perfect vertical lines. He’s quite the craftsman, much like his sister, Holly, who recently put in good time on our wicker magazine basket. See, she thought it should be open at
two sides. While it’s all very cute, I knew I had to keep these productive pups busy with items that were made for them.
While trading dog stories one day, my neighbor told me about BarkBox, a monthly service that delivers one-of-a-kind toys, all natural treats, and chewable delights to him and his Husky once a month. He said his dog wags his tail and spins around like crazy when he recognizes his BarkBox, just like our dogs jump for joy when we up their leash for a walk.
It’s an experience you get to share with your dog once a month that ensures you get to witness some of their cutest moments, and keep them close to heart: something every dog and owner deserves. I signed up as soon as Chris told me how much fun he and his dog were having with their BarkBox.
BarkBox customizes each box to your dog’s size so they deliver only items that are right for your furry pal, and they do a great job keeping the humans happy, too. Every box has its own unique theme, decorated from outside to inside, to each individual item in box. My favorite so far has been “Bark to School,” which included lunch shaped plush toys inside a Velcro sealed embroidered lunch bag, all natural ham and cheese sandwich snacks, jerky chew sticks, and more natural snacks and sturdy toys—all wrapped in adorable doggie yearbook photos!
Our “Home for the Holidays” themed box included a turkey plush toy, turkey liver and cranberry biscuits, turkey sausage chew sticks, and other treats and toys, which allowed me to make sure Holly and Hugo joined in on the Thanksgiving fun without being disappointed that they weren’t getting any food from the table! BarkBox toys are all made here in the U.S., which you can’t find at any pet store, and the treats are all-natural and delicious (according to Hugo and Holly’s reaction). And through the Scout’s Honor program, BarkBox guarantees your dogs will love everything in the box, or they’ll send them something else for free.
I can’t properly put into words how much our dogs love that BarkBox as their expressions are the only way to describe it, and I trust in the pups that it was the right product for us. You can
