Staple cast members of the Bravo reality show Vanderpump Rules, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, have been fired from the show.

The firings are a result of accusations of racism from fellow cast mate Faith Stowers, who hasn’t appeared on the show for several seasons. According to CNN, “New cast members Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were also let go, after racist tweets from their past recirculated.”

Stowers discussed her former cast mates racist behavior on Instagram Live last week, saying that Doute and Schroeder tried to get her arrested.”There was this article on Daily Mail where there was an African American lady,” Stowers said. “It was a weird photo, so she looked very light-skinned and had these different, weird tattoos. They showcased her, and I guess this woman was robbing people. And they called the cops and said it was me. This is like, a true story. I heard this from actually Stassi during an interview.”

Indeed, Schroeder discussed the incident on her podcast “B*tch Bible,” confirming that she had called the police in an attempt to get Stowers arrested. Additionally, Doute tweeted a link to the Daily Mail article about the alleged thief, saying, “hey tweeties, doesn’t this ex #pumprules thief look familiar? someone put her on mtv & gave her a platform for press. I didn’t wanna go there but I’m going there.” This incident isn’t the only time Schroeder has revealed herself to be racially insensitive. On her podcast Straight Up With Stassi, Schroeder once said, “Why is it always just about the African Americans?” she asked. “It’s always just that and then whenever they get upset, everybody has to go above and beyond to make them happy.”

Now, in wake of the police murder of George Floyd and the resulting worldwide reckoning with America’s racist institutions, Stowers’ story and Schroeder’s past comments have gone viral, enraging fans. As a result, Schroeder was dropped by her agent and publicist, according to Variety.

Both Doute and Schroeder have attempted to apologize on Instagram.

“Bravo and Evolution Media confirmed today that Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni will not be returning to ‘Vanderpump Rules,'” a Bravo spokesperson told CNN.
