PREMIERE | Natalise + the Sunset Run ‘In The Fall’

Natalise + the Sunset Run premiere their new video today, entitled “In The Fall.” The song is from the band’s Constellations EP, which dropped in 2017.

A child prodigy, Natalise began piano when she was three years old; dance at age seven, church choir at age eight, followed by acceptance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music at age 11. Classically trained in piano and vocals, she later attended Stanford University, completing the usual four-year program in three-years. While at Stanford, she recorded and released an indie album that made big waves in San Francisco.

After graduation, she started Natalise + the Sunset Run. The band’s pop/alternative music was immediately featured on MTV, VH1, Oxygen, and the CW. And they performed at the Viper Room, the House of Blues, and The Hotel Café, along with a host of other venues.

“In The Fall” opens with dream pop-flavored synths and a measured piano flowing seamlessly into a pulsing pop tune bursting with shimmering energy. A crunching snare, thudding bass drum, and punching bassline drive the rhythm to infectious levels, as Natalise’s textured, crystalline tones float and surge overhead, softly iridescent on the verse and bridge, followed by moussed up potency sparkling with dynamic colors on the chorus.

The video, directed by Steph Killip, mirrors the quixotic essence of the charming lyrics, relating a tale of falling head-over-heels in love when least expected and most needed. Natalise, ensconced in a dark abyss, found herself rescued by love.

“In the fall I found it all / Through the dark I saw the dawn / In the fall I found it all / And you knew it all along.”

Proximate with delectable sonic colors and vibrant exuberance, “In The Fall” packs a radiant, elegant pizzazz thrumming with contagious élan invoking the galvanizing feeling of pristine love. Natalise’s glowing voice invests listeners with bright enthusiasm and anticipation.
