Details About Lady Gaga’s New Album, MAYHEM
A quick scroll through Gaga’s Instagram account reveals just how stoked she feels about the upcoming release of MAYHEM. On February 18, she posted a Reel that names all 14 songs she recorded.
Some tracks we’re looking forward to the most include “Garden of Eden,” “Perfect Celebrity,” and “LoveDrug.” Gaga has a history of mesmerizing storytelling, so we can certainly expect more of that with MAYEM.
Her comment section is flooded with fans eagerly anticipating fresh songs from their favorite singer-songwriter. One person commented, “Can’t wait to celebrate your epic album release with my friends.”
Another added, “Thank you, Queen! You don’t understand how much you are an inspiration to all of us!”
Gaga also sat down with Good Morning America to discuss what the album means to her.
She said, “I think that I’m feeling really confident in myself as a musician, and as a songwriter, producer, and artist. I know that sounds silly, but it actually took me two decades to become the boss in a way.”
Two decades ago, we were living in 2005. Gaga was still doing everything in her power to gain exposure, build a fan base, and forge fame for herself before the release of her first album in 2008. Now, she’s the boss of her career path.
Gaga‘s fans are super happy she returned to the studio to fully focus on music again after spending a stretch of time honing in on her acting career. Gaga landed leading roles in recent successful projects like A Star Is Born, House of Gucci, and American Horror Story.
But when she starred in Joker 2, the film didn’t fare too well among audiences and critics. Like… it pulled in a score of 31% on rotten tomatoes. Yikes! Joker 2 might’ve been a disappointment for Gaga’s diehard fans, but we have hope that MAYHEM will revitalize her musical talent.
Lady Gaga’s Saturday Night Live Appearance
Gaga has an extensive history with SNL, so she’s totally prepared for her upcoming appearance on March 8. She’ll serve as both host and musical guest — for the second time.
As a reminder, she handled double-duty as both a host and musical guest back in November 2013. She also appeared as a musical guest without hosting on four separate occasions between 2009 and 2016.
SNL cast members have been known to impersonate Gaga on multiple occasions between 2010 and 2019. The Haus Labs beauty brand founder also showed up for a cameo slot on SNL in 2023.
