​​Did Taylor Swift really enjoy herself at the Super Bowl in 2025? We have reason to believe that she might not have! First of all, she was there to root for Travis Kelce, and his team lost the game. Badly – 40 to 22 badly. Ouch.

But before the Chiefs jaw-dropping loss, the crowd aggressively booed her as the camera scanned over Taylor’s face. She tried to laugh it off, but the cringeworthy situation is now a viral meme across all social media platforms. 

We can think of five possible reasons why so many people collectively decided to instantaneously boo Taylor at the Super Bowl.

Eagles Fans Booed Taylor Because She Was Cheering For the Chiefs

The first and most obvious reason Taylor was booed is the team she was rooting for. Taylor’s been a fervent supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs since she started dating Travis in 2023.

That being said, as soon as Eagles fans saw her face appear on the screen, they started booing Taylor — mercilessly. Taylor used to be an Eagles fan who switched her loyalty when she started dating Travis so it rubs plenty of Eagles fans the wrong way.

Trump Fans Booed Taylor Because She Endorsed Kamala Harris

The second obvious reason Taylor was booed? President Trump and his MAGA supporters were in the Super Bowl audience. You don’t have to remind anyone that Trump waged a social media war against Taylor by tweeting that he hated Taylor in all caps. 

Trump’s dislike for Taylor has never been a secret, and his dedicated MAGA crew continues to side with him against her. She went out of her way to endorse Kamala Harris during the presidential election campaign, so there’s a huge chance Trump fans at the Super Bowl got loud and proud and booed Ms. Swift.

Trump made it abundantly clear that he hates Taylor. On top of that, his close political ally Elon Musk has made some pretty unsettling comments about Taylor. At one point, he even tweeted that he’d like to impregnate her.

Disappointed Swifties Booed Taylor Because She’s Still Supporting Travis

Another group who booed Taylor at the Super Bowl might come as a slight shock. There are tons of disappointed Swifties who hate that Taylor continues to date Travis after hearing his careless comments about President Trump. 

When Travis was asked his thoughts on Trump attending the Super Bowl, he said, “That’s awesome. It’s a great honor. I think, no matter who the president is, I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life. And having the president there… It’s the best country in the world, and that’s pretty cool.”

Swifties expected Travis to say something in defense of his girlfriend. Ya know… like any man who’s protective of his girlfriend would. But instead, he let every Swiftie down. Taylor showed up at the Super Bowl and continued to support him anyway. Disappointed Swifties booed her in response to that.

Blake Lively Fans Booed Taylor For Disinviting Blake

The fourth possible reason Taylor got booed at the Super Bowl is that she recently pumped the brakes on her friendship with Blake Lively. Last year, Taylor and Blake were buddied up at the Super Bowl in a private suite. They looked like they were having the time of their lives!

This year, Taylor has heavily distanced herself from Blake since Blake’s in the middle of a nasty legal battle with Justin Baldoni. While tons of people have sided with Justin over this entire scandal, there’s also a select group of fans who remain loyal to Blake. 

These fans aren’t happy about Taylor icing Blake out. After all, it appears that Taylor has rejected their friendship at a time when Blake needs friends the most. There’s a chance this group made sure their jeers were heard at the Super Bowl.

Taylor Was Booed by Old-School NFL Fans Who Are Burnt Out

The fifth and final group of people who most likely booed Taylor at the Super Bowl are the dedicated NFL fans who are sick and tired of seeing her turn out for football games. Throughout the season, the consensus from NFL fans is that Taylor has snagged way too much screen time. 

People are just plain annoyed by her over-exposure. Some football fans miss the days when Taylor wasn’t incorporated in every conversation pertaining to the NFL – and they’ve expressed that. 

We have every reason to believe this group of people booed Taylor as loud as they possibly could when the camera scanned over her face.

Aside from these reasons, it’s possible Taylor was booed by haters who simply felt like teaming up against the “Love Story” songstress.
