Thousands of those eagle-eyed people were devastated when he tied the knot with Hailey. Parasocial relationships with these celebs have undeniably fueled divorce rumors over the last few years.

One major reason people are convinced Justin and Hailey are headed for divorce is that it appeared that Justin shockingly unfollowed Hailey on Instagram. But, according to Page Six, that’s simply not true. Justin claims he was hacked and someone unfollowed Hailey’s page from his account. 

Right after the unfollowing drama, Jason refollowed her, and they were spotted enjoying date night at a Hollywood comedy club called the Laugh Factory. In today’s social media mirage, following and unfollowing people certainly makes a bold statement. In Justin and Hailey’s defense, celebs are common targets for hackers who like to stir up chaos. 

Has Parenthood Put a Damper on Their Marriage?

Some fans have speculated that the birth of Justin and Hailey’s first-born son, Jack Blues Bieber, put a major strain on their marriage. According to Daily Mail, Justin was feeling more stressed out than ever in September, when their kiddo was first welcomed into the world. 

A source told the outlet, “Justin feels like there is no one that he can talk to that understands and, to be honest, he doesn’t even fully understand… Justin is stressed right now. He has a baby boy and is trying to be a good dad without having anything to reference what a good father is.” 

Justin hasn’t directly spoken out about fatherhood stressing him out, though. Hailey hasn’t complained about motherhood in any capacity, either. However, she did share a precious photo thread on November 29 that showcased a happy moment of their darling little family. 

Justin and Hailey went on an afternoon stroll with Jack Blues in Hailey’s arms. Justin and Hailey both flashed bright smiles as a sign of their shared happiness in being together. If parenthood is really putting a damper on their marriage, their social media posts are not any indication.

Justin Once Described His Marriage With Hailey as “Really Hard”

Back in 2019, when Justin and Hailey’s marriage was still pretty new, he opened up about some nitty-gritty details. The deets were far from pleasant! He told Vogue, “The thing is, marriage is very hard. That is a sentence you should lead with. It’s really effing hard.” 

At the time, fans had a lot to say about his remarks. Many claimed that hearing him describe the marriage as being “really hard” was his way of hinting that the marriage may not last. Others felt like it was a cry for help because he was feeling trapped. 

Fast forward to 2025, and some people are still digging up that quote from Justin to slam him and his marriage to Hailey. Since he was so quick to speak so negatively about the marriage back then, many have lost hope and belief in their love story – and haven’t regained it since.

The Selena Gomez Effect

How has Justin’s failed relationship with Selena impacted his current marriage with Hailey? It certainly caused some bumps in the road. That’s thanks to all the diehard fans who are unwilling to let go of the past. Selena and Justin dated off-and-on from 2010 until 2018. It seemed that their pattern of making up and breaking up would go on forever until he abruptly tied the knot with Hailey. 

At the time, his wedding to Hailey came out of left field… Even Selena seemed shocked by it. She released the song “Lose You to Love Me,” which included the scathing lyrics, “You tore me down and now it’s showing. In two months, you replaced us. Like it was easy. Made me think I deserved it.”

In other words, Selena and Justin’s final breakup was extremely fresh when he walked down the aisle with Hailey! Jelena fans constantly barge into Justin, Hailey, and Selena’s social media comment sections with their obnoxious opinions. Get a life, people. 

Typically, these hostile opinions are meant to tear Justin and Hailey’s marriage apart in the hopes that Justin might eventually reconcile with Selena. It’s no wonder there’s an endless hurricane of divorce rumors about Justin and Hailey with thousands of fans constantly giving their two cents. 

But in reality, it’s highly unlikely Selena and Justin will ever get back together. Selena’s currently engaged to Benny Blanco, and she seems gloriously happy. On top of that, Justin and Hailey continue reminding the world that their marriage is solid – really effing solid.
