It’s Going to Be a Legend-ary Christmas!

It’s Going to Be a Legend-ary Christmas!

Christmas will be merrier than ever!

On the heels of his recent “EGOT” achievement, the ever-impressive John Legend has more, let’s say, jolly news to share with fans. It may only be October, but Santa seems to have gotten started early this year. His gift? A John Legend Christmas album!

It’s hard to believe Legend hasn’t already put his talents to use in the holiday department, but the best things come to those who wait. And come Christmas 2018, we’ll have waited long enough for what’s sure to be one of the top Christmas albums of all time, thanks to Legend’s smooth and sentimental voice – just what we want to hear as the first snow begins to fall. If anything will keep us warm, it’s the sweet sound of Christmas, touched by the talent of John Legend.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the album, titled A Legendary Christmas, will feature six original tracks and eight timeless classics. Songs like “Christmas Time is Here,” “Silver Bells,” and “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” will get that special spin only Legend can lift us up with. And with new tunes from the singer to add to our Christmas collection, another batch of holiday hits will be part of future Christmas soundtracks for decades to come.

“The album is executive-produced by Raphael Saadiq, with additional vocals from jazz bassist and singer Esperanza Spalding on ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ and harmonica from Stevie Wonder on ‘What Christmas Means to Me,’ the first track on the LP,” notes Entertainment Weekly. We’re guessing there will be other surprises to come, including additional collaborations with big-name stars.

The best part? You don’t have to wait ’till Christmas Eve to see if the album will be under your tree. It’s being released October 26 th! Why not get in the Christmas spirit pre-Halloween? And while you’re in the Legend mood, grab tickets for his 25-date upcoming tour. Tickets go on sale Oct. 5 and the tour will hit cities from Clearwater, FL to San Diego, CA.
