I try to buy all my meat & seafood from either the farmers market or the local butcher shop, and I’m always looking to find the highest quality products possible.

It’s hard to find great quality at our local store; all I see are labels like free-range, cage-free, organic, which just confuse me.

Determined to find the best of the best, I searched online and found Crowd Cow. A few days later, a selection of sustainably sourced meat and seafood was delivered right to my front door.

Here’s what Crowd Cow is all about:

What is Crowd Cow?

Crowd Cow sends you responsibly sourced meat and seafood right to your doorstep. Every product they sell is sourced from the very best farmers and fishermen who use humane and sustainable practices.

What kind of meats & seafood do they have?

They offer 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised beef, heritage pork, chicken, turkey, Japanese wagyu, wild-caught seafood, duck, and many other types of sustainably sourced protein options. Every product is raised without unnecessary antibiotics or any added hormones and is taste-tested by experts.

Crowd Cow also offers sides, desserts, sauces, and seasonings, so you can create a complete meal through one subscription service. I loved the Belgian Chocolate Mousse Cake, Gluten-Free Wild Blueberry Waffle 6-Pack and Lobster Mac & Cheese.

How is it sourced?

Everything is sourced under USDA inspection from the best farms all over the world. They work with farmers who raise their animals in ways that benefit the animals and the environment.

Crowd Cow sets incredibly high standards to ensure that subscribers get the highest quality meat and seafood(which also tastes incredible).

What does the box contain?

You have the option of standard or family-sized boxes (my preference). Each box is different; the Best of Crowd Cow Box has a selection of beef, pork, fish, shrimp, and more. The Best of Beef Box offers an assortment of steaks; the Best of Seafood Box includes lobster tail, shrimp, and fish. You also have the Best of Japanese Wagyu Box or you can create your own box from scratch.

Each of the curated boxes can be customized to either remove some of the meat selections or increase the number of your favorite cuts.

We try to change things up each month but the Best of Crowd Cow Box has to be our favorite. It offers a wide variety of delicious meat and seafood that our family loves.

How much does it cost?

Every box varies in price depending on what you select and how much meat and seafood you order. The family-sized boxes range between $160-$300 and the standard boxes are between $150-$200. For a limited time, Crowd Cow is offering 15% OFF Your First Order of $199+! Use code WELCOME15 at checkout!

What are the subscription options?

They ship all over the USA (except Alaska and Hawaii) and at checkout, you get the option of making your box recurring. You get 5% off recurring boxes plus free shipping at $99. Even if you go for the recurring option, you can customize or skip shipments or even cancel at any time.

What else do they offer?

They have video tutorials on cooking the perfect steak (which taught me a lot!) and a wide collection of step-by-step recipes so that we can have something different for dinner every night.

Is Crowd Cow sustainable?

All of their products are sustainably sourced and every box is shipped in recyclable and compostable packaging to offset carbon impact. They are 100% carbon neutral.

Crowd Cow has shown me how high-quality, sustainable meat can taste amazing and be much healthier. We’ve stopped going to the grocery store and butcher for our meat; Crowd Cow is the place for us.
