Have a Punk Christmas with Brent Butler's "Brooklyn Christmas Eve"

The LA-based songwriter is the #ZackMorrisofRap.

What says Christmas in Brooklyn better than a chorus of, "Light up my Christmas tree like a cigarette / We don't need eggnog / We've got Jameson"?

They've recorded a dozen albums and scored huge hits, but Switchfoot has never released a Christmas album. That changed this year with this is our Christmas album.

The 12 tracks are split between classics like "Christmastime is Here" and "The Christmas Song," and new songs like the old school punk inspired-"Scrappy Little Christmas Tree."

Each holiday season, we're bombarded with new Christmas albums. There's the country guy you forgot about, that one singer from the '80s your mom likes, and a Broadway person that no one really knows. The songs probably include a heartfelt "White Christmas" and an uninspired "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree."

For her upcoming holiday album Snow Waltz (out Oct. 7), Lindsey Stirling wanted something different. The lead single, "Ice Storm," is an intense instrumental with hard rock drums, the original "Magic" featuring David Archuleta is a tribute to her beloved late father, and for her version of "The Little Drummer Boy," she let the drummer actually drum.

From her home studio, Stirling covers all things Christmas music with Jordan Edwards. Watch the full interview below.

Many years ago I traveled with my best friend to Dublin to see the Pogues play their Christmas show at The Point. We dossed at The Morrison Hotel on the River Liffey, and the night we had there began and ended with a long session with the man Himself.

There is no reason for Christmas not to be metal this year.

The Nightmare Revisited HD: KoRn - Kidnap the Sandy Claws

There is no reason for Christmas not to be metal this year.

As our collective 2020 anger and stress boil over, Christmastime can in no way shape or form be heartwarming or innocent this year. For those who will no doubt roll their eyes at the yearly Christmas anthems, why not give your Christmas a little sadistic flair to honor a sadistic year?

Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello - The Christmas Song

When Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello first got together, the timing aroused suspicion. Their relationship was announced alongside their 2019 single "Senorita," leading fans to speculate whether the relationship was a publicity stunt.

The accompanying music video and every subsequent performance of the single seemed manufactured to say one thing: These are very hot people in love. But lots of people were unconvinced.

Was it Mendes's general awkwardness making it look like he was in pain every time he performed the song on stage? Was it Cabello's natural penchant for drama that had Jenna Dewan famously (supposedly) saying, "She's so extra" during their 2020 AMA performance, or a little something extra she was doing to convince us of their relationship?
