You probably wouldn’t think to mention him as one of the biggest stars of recent pop, but Pitbull has now appeared on an impressive 17 Top 40 hits in his career—12 in the 2010s alone—and never seems to go more than a few months without being on a song that becomes totally inescapable, most recently with “Don’t Stop the Party” and “Feel This Moment,” both thoroughly unkillable as jock jams and TV bumper music. Pitbull will probably never have the most passionate fanbase, sell the most records, or do anything of note outside of music (the lukewarm reception for Epic having doomed his voice-acting career) but if he kept pumping out enough hits to stay in the bottom half of this list for the rest of the decade, we can’t say we’d be all that surprised. At the very least, your grandmother probably knows who he is by now—hell, she might be buying tickets for his inevitable Vegas residence in a couple years—and that has to count for something.
