Sounds Like: Justin Bieber meets NeYo. Equal parts singer and dancer, Mahone is a homegrown YouTube act with swag for days.

Notable Achievements: Mahone gained traction thanks to his cover of Justin Bieber’s holiday love song, “Mistletoe.” By employing the same heartthrob techniques—bangs, bling and chest grabs—the Texas-born singer gained more views for his version than Bieber’s orignal, moving from local celebrity to profitable artist labels believed to be worth fighting over. Moving to bigger gigs and high-profile press, Mahone ultimately signed with Chase/Universal Republic in August. Early singles “11:11″ and “Say Somethin” have been well received by the Mahomies, with anticipation for his debut LP reaching its apex.

Famous Fans: Proving a happy ending to their eerily similar origin story, Mahone had the chance to meet The Bieb in June, as well as fellow Scooter Braun act The Wanted, the latter of which has given the emerging artist a giant “cheers” from their homeland.
