If you weren’t planning on watching the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show—or had no idea such a pre-show existed—we’ve got two names that might make you alter those plans: Austin Mahone and Ariana Grande.
Neither can legally drink and the former can’t legally vote, but these two pop powerhouses know how to please a crowd. Mahone has built a legion of devoted “Mahomies” since he started posting YouTube videos, and hits like “What About Love” have earned him a coveted “Artist to Watch” VMA nomination this year. 20-year-old Grande was in very real contention for “song of the summer” this year with “The Way” featuring Mac Miller. Her upcoming album Yours Truly is one of the most highly-anticipated debuts of the year.
Bring on the “Austiana” fan-fiction, folks…
