51 years ago today, Troyal Garth Brooks—that’s right, Troyal—was born, already wearing a cowboy hat (maybe, I mean, were you there?). He probably doesn’t go around playing “Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old)” any way but ironically, but his “Friends in Low Places” country-rock twang rings true enough to have earned him a four year stay at the Wynn in Las Vegas (culminating in November of last year).
