29 years ago today, Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi was born. Later in life, he would ditch all but the last four letters of his name, strap on a “Kid,” befriend a dude named Kanye, and release a pretty big song. Despite the occasional Twitter rant, Kid Cudi has reached a wide net of fans in his sub-30 years on earth. An 11-year-old Willow Smith managed to eke out an impressive KC cover (Covering Cudi at 11? Shouldn’t she be uncovering cooties? Hold for laughs…).
