With the holidays right around the corner, we’re on schedule to soon be inundated with snapshots of our favorite stars fleeing winter weather in some posh, beachside locale. Yes, it sucks that Instagram and Twitter are feuding and we now must put forth extra effort to see these enviable photos of the rich and famous, but because we’ll probably never go to St. Barts, Bali or Dubai, observing these scenes is necessary if we want to pretend to be someone important come high school reunion time.
And when in Dubai, do as the famous and fabulously wealthy do. Case in point: Usher, the hitmaker, cultivator of emerging talent and owner of one sick set of abdominals that seems to have gotten better with age, who spent time in the Palm Islands over the weekend. In addition to watching his friends get new ink and relaxing poolside, Mr. Raymond let his daredevil tendencies take hold by going skydiving and made sure to snap photos every step of the way. The effects of Justin Bieber’s Grammys snub continue to be felt around the world.
