Please Adam, don’t hurt ‘em. Having already spoken out publicly against the VMAs and Coachella, pop star and television personality Adam Levine now turns his attention to that scourge of American culture—reality TV car wreck Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Many non-fans likely share a negative viewpoint of the bottom-scrapingly low-brow program, but Adam goes next-level with his hating, labeling the show as worse than Pearl Harbor, the Bubonic Plague and the music video for Madonna’s “American Life.” Exact quote, courtesy of his GQ “Punch List” interview:

Seriously, Honey Boo Boo is the DECAY of Western civilization. Just because so many people watch the show doesn’t mean it’s good. So many people witness atrocities and can’t take their eyes away from them, but that doesn’t mean they’re good. That show is literally The. Worst. Thing. That’s. Ever. Happened. It’s complete fucking ignorance and the most despicable way to treat your kids. Fuck those people. You can put that in the magazine: Fuck those idiots. They’re just the worst. Sorry, I’m so sensitive to that—like, I don’t know, man, it’s upsetting. Just to clarify, I said, “FUCK THOSE PEOPLE.”

Good clarifying. So, to summarize: Honey Boo Boo is worse than hipster music festivals, hypocritical award shows, and also everything else in the world ever. (Literally.) Here’s hoping Adam doesn’t find out about Buckwild anytime soon, it might send his entire world spinning of its axis.
