The Popdust Files: fear and loathing in las vegas, lil wayne, no worries

There might not be a worse rap single this year than Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 original “No Worries,” but thanks to its new music video, the song’s existence is at least now slightly justified. “Worries” sees Weezy playing gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson (with the sunglasses and extended cigarette holder to prove it) in a very loose recreation of a couple scenes from the late-’90s druggie classicFear and Loathing in Las Vegas—namely, the scenes where Hunter cruises with his druggie lawyer friend in the desert, and then when they go wobbling into a Vegas casino high on ether.
