One Direction Pretended to Be Wax Figures, Because the World is Not Scary Enough Already
Posted by Newson 11/15/2012 at 12:35 PM
It’s a common prank for celebrities to pretend to be their own wax figures and then magically “come to life” to freak out their fans—Ozzy Osbourne’s done it, Carmelo Anthony’s done it, even Susan Sarandon’s done it—but that doesn’t make it any less soul-shakingly terrifying. The world is full of horror enough, why introduce even more into it?
And if we thought one waxy visage cracking to reveal a human expression was unsettling, well, that’s nothing compared to five of them at once. We don’t know if One Direction specifically set out to scare the crap out of children and music bloggers when they signed up to impersonate their own wax figures at London’s Madame Tussauds, but if that was the intention: Mission accomplished. Even the scariest of 1D fan fiction has nothing on this.
