By now, it’s clear that Jelena is over. Sieber is through. We’re talking about the breakup of The Greatest Couple of Our Time, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. And while Bieber reportedly licks his chops with a Hungarian-born Victoria’s Secret Model, Selena is already braving the red carpet.

The pop singer was all dressed up last night to pick up one of Glamour magazine’s “Women of the Year” awards honoring her for her work with UNICEF (at 20, she’s their youngest-ever US ambassador). In the mag’s December issue, Selena talks about her most “eye-opening” UNICEF moment: a trip to Ghana where she saw children cobbling together toys from plastic bottles and rubber bands.

For her first public outing since news of the split hit the tabloids, Selena selected a Giambattista Valli white dress with a peplum detail and a plunging neckline. It looked chic and adult, while also telegraphing a sexy, I-don’t-care-about-that-lingerie-model-rumor vibe. And though she held her head high on the red carpet, she didn’t make it through the evening without tearing up a bit. Thank god she’s got Taylor to confide in.
