If you had to guess what sort of animal Justin Bieber got tattooed on his arm, what would you guess? A Canadian moose? A brave grizzly bear? A porcupine? (What—they’re the Bieb’s favorite animal.)

Well, had you guessed any of those, you would sadly be wrong. The animal Justin chose to adorn his forearm in a recent tattoo was in fact an owl! Bieber posted an image of the new ink to his Instagram account Sunday with the caption, “Befo the paps get me.”

Beliebers, unsurprisingly, are loving it:
