Taking time away from fawning over Phillip Phillips, the American Idol producers have finally enhanced our baseball-watching with a new promo starring Season 12′s latest additions: Mimi, Nicki and, oh yeah, Keith Urban. The judging panel reminds us that it’s “almost that time of year” with sprawling shots of cornfields and presumably talented “dreamers” like to stare off dramatically and bang their drumsticks on trash cans. All four coo softly about never giving up on their ambitions while it’s Ryan Seacrest who has the privilege of getting the final word in.

Much to our chagrin, there’s little evidence that Mariah and Nicki were in the same room while filming this promo, which means we still need to tune in to the January premiere to see how this feud has evolved. Watch below.
