Usher Raymond has more reason than just about anyone these days to want to go numb in some way or another, and rather than turn to literal numbing agents, Ush got tipped by Swedish House Mafia to the anesthetic powers of club immersion. Hence the SMH-assisted latest Looking 4 Myself single “Numb,” and its accompanying music video, in which Usher is symbolically and literally stuck in a glass encasing, as he struggles with the memories of him canceling a show in Berlin and sitting by a sick woman’s bedside in the hospital. (The first thing happened, the second is maybe some sort of tragedy composite.)
Not bad, though we still would’ve gone with “Show Me” or the title track as the next single. Soon enough.
