Kanye West Won’t Show His Designs at Upcoming Paris Fashion Week

Kanye West loves fashion and wants to be taken seriously as a designer, but the industry doesn’t exactly love him back. After his first Paris Fashion Week show, the thin-skinned rapper pleaded to critics, “Please be easy. Please give me a chance to grow. This is not some celebrity shit. I don’t fuck with celebrities. I fuck with the creatives in this room, the amazing people who spend every day of their life trying to make the world a more beautiful place.”
Despite his urging, they stomped all over his designs. Style.com has called Kanye’s debut “inauspicious,” while The Telegraph said it was “rap with a capital-C.”
His second collection, which he again showed in Paris in March, wasn’t exactly raved about—but it wasn’t totally slammed, either. Perhaps Kanye’s still hurting from the reviews or maybe he’s really preoccupied with his Kim Kardashian—whatever the reason, it’s just been reported that the Ye’s not returning to Paris to show a third time.
According to WWD, his PR reps have confirmed this information but will not say if Kanye West the clothing line has been discontinued. Did those dinners with Anna Wintour and the six-thousand-dollar shoes that made it to the Paris news mean nothing?
