Usher has always prided himself on being a ladies man, with songs rooted in love, desire and oftentimes lust. But while his stage persona can put on a boastful front, the real Usher Raymond is still known to blush when grilled about his own love-making soundtrack, no matter how revealing his lyrics can be.

Oprah Winfrey sought to find answers to life’s tough questions during her latest installment of your favorite weekly couch weepie, Next Chapter. Given his deep catalog of sultry tunes, would it be so outrageous to hear that Usher has once or twice gotten down to his own songs? Call it gauche, but an accomplished artist such as he is only going to want to play the best of the best. “Some may say this would be rather narcissistic, but yeah,” he explained sheepishly. “If I were you, I would!” Oprah exclaimed. We’ve seen celebrity narcissism manifest itself in odd ways, and certain sexual fetishes that are borderline creepy. But if O justifies your behavior, there’s no need to look back.

We’re assuming he means songs like “Hey Daddy” and “Dive,” and certainly not “The Christmas Song,” recorded with a then-underage Justin Bieber and typically intended for family listening around a pile of chestnuts.
