The Popdust Files: demi lovato, nicki minaj

The day in music as told by tweets. Roman can take a backseat; it’s Nicki who needs a little reloading. Specifically, her vocal chords. Against her doctor’s wishes, she played the Today show with a bruised vocal chord. If we learned anything from Never Say Never, it’s that you don’t mess with those precious chords.

Speaking of chords, Demi Lovato surely heard some “Happy Birthday” strains today as she turned 20 (making this her golden birthday). With some A-list shout-outs, we hope she’s feeling the love. She just shouldn’t expect a rousing rendition from Ms. Minaj for now.
