Never let it be said that Chris Brown doesn’t make relatable work. The video for “Don’t Wake Me Up” is completely relatable! It hurts when you wake up without someone you care about. But it’s especially bad when you wake up and the person’s just gone and ditched you, no warning and no note and not even a text, and then it turns out they’ve secretly phased into a hedge maze then a water dream-dimension parallel to the desert, and when you try to chase them there you only end up writhing around that desert with a pained expression and fiery sarong. Ugh, that’s just the worst. (The sarong, that is. But the scenario isn’t too pleasant either.)

Life tip: If you ever see a steeple mired in clouds, you're in an alternate dimension.

Oh, and if you’re the sort of person who’s amused by small details, look closely at the door at 0:54. Look at her expression.
