The Popdust Files: 2 chainz, big sean, concerts, kanye west, Mercy, pusha t

It’s been one week since the premiere of “Theraflu” and “Mercy,” and we’ve already heard both tracks blaring from the speakers of various drinking establishments and fast-moving cars around New York City countless times. Things move fast these days, and if Yeezy builds it, chances are we’ll come. The second of Kanye West’s newest tracks is a G.O.O.D. Music production, which means any one of his collaborators should feel free to incorporate it into a live set. Big Sean did just that on Wednesday night, treating those at Florida International University to a live version of the single. He’d have to carry the chorus himself, as 2 Chainz and Pusha T were M.I.A, and Kanye likely off planning his upcoming stage wedding to Kim Kardashian—coming to E! just in time for May sweeps—or simply holding her purse while she walks around spending money. Let’s applaud the audience at FIU for already committing much of Sean’s verse to memory. But then again, some variation of the word “ass” is found in most of his work. Watch below.
