Nicki Minaj Brings 2 Chainz and Cam’Ron to “106 & Park,” Predicts Big Numbers for “Reloaded”

The Roman Reloaded promotional cycle is peaking this week with the album’s long-anticipated release, and Nicki is commemorating tonight with an appearance on BET’s 106 & Park. The appearance was supposed to feature dancehall legend and “Gunshot” collaborator Beenie Man, but work visa issues appear to be holding that up, so we will have to do instead with guest appearances from 2 Chainz (“Beez in the Trap“) and Cam’Ron (“I Am Your Leader“), taped for the show yesterday—pretty obvious upgrades anyway, if you ask us. Nicki herself appears excited for the airing, tweeting:
Barbz, if u can’t catch 106&Park tonite on BET, DVR it!!!!! And that’s ALL I’ll say about THAT!!!!!!!!!!!

Noted. Meanwhile, Nicki also sat down with DJ Clue of New York’s Power 105.1 for an interview that Rap-Up did us all the favor of transcribing the highlights of. She teased a collaboration with Waka Flocka Flame (“My little brother”), commented on M.I.A.’s Super Bowl flip-off flip-out (“She’s cuckoo sometimes, but I love her”) and talked about how much fun it was wailing “diiiiiick in yo faaaaaaaace” on “Come on a Cone” (“I was busting out laughing in the booth”), but the most interesting part came when she was asked about the “sophomore jinx” with her second album. Needless to say, Nicki is not worried:
Hell no! This album is gonna sell so much more than Pink Friday. Ask me this question two years from today, Clue. With me, I’m never about first week and all that. I like to look at it for the long haul.
For the record, Wikipedia lists Pink Friday as having sold over 1.8 million copies already. Can Roman Reloaded do “so much more” than that? Do remind us to check back in two years.
