Start the countdown: Beyoncé’s maternity leave will come to an end with a trio of performances in Atlantic City this May. According to an announcement on her website this morning, the new mom will hit the beach Memorial Day for her first live shows since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter in January. Like her four intimate nights at New York’s Roseland Ballroom last summer, Beyoncé’s return to the stage is a strictly limited (and thus likely hard to get tickets to) engagement. She’ll perform May 25, 26 and 27 at Revel, a new beachfront resort located in the New Jersey gambling mecca. (Sorry, West Coasters!) We have no doubt she’s been hard at work getting back to pre-Blue shape, but if she’s feeling self-conscious in her performing threads, she can always opt for the unofficial uniform of AC: stretchy pants. They’re Carrie Bradshaw-endorsed and everything!

The last public performance from our Queen B came during the MTV Video Music Awards in late August, which served the dual purpose of revealing to the world that she and Jay were successful in their attempts at making a 3 from their 2. While her better half recorded a song celebrating their new bundle of joy, and has since brought his feelings on fatherhood to the live stage, can we expect the same from Beyoncé leading up to her shows? Bigger question: Will Baby Blue have the “End of Time” choreography down by May? Of course she will.
