The Popdust Files: glad you came, Gold Forever, the wanted, upcoming albums

The Wanted intend to make sure their self-titled U.S. debut will leave its mark on the charts. Capital FM has confirmed that the boys’ forthcoming release will include three new songs, in addition to the music found on their previous U.K. releases. After gracing our fair shores in their first trip to the United States earlier this year, Max revealed that the band was back in the studio “recording the best song yet!!!!” Fellow exclamation point enthusiasts have no choice but to believe him.

While “Glad You Came” continues to maintain its presence on the singles charts—currently No.3 on iTunes and No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100—the boys will be releasing “Gold Forever,” the closing track off November release, Battleground, on iTunes next week. Already the subject of an official music video that shows off the group’s affinity for circus clowns, “Gold Forever” will be available for purchase on Tuesday, in celebration of its one year anniversary in the U.K. and in anticipation of their U.S. debut.

Despite reports, The Wanted have explained the ballad meets dance track will not be their next single. The group returns Stateside next week for another media blitz in anticipation for their April 24 release. Plan ahead and catch them as they hit The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday, followed by rounds on the morning show circuit, with scheduled appearances on Today and The View on April 24 and 25. That’s a lot of obligatory posing and drinking of fake coffee from ceramic mugs on camera, but you do what you need to do to keep up with the Kardashians One Direction.
