Jay-Z Is Shawn Carter Of Mars

Taylor Kitsch makes his foray into leading man territory and alien-fighting with the weekend’s release of John Carter. The rippling biceps and greasy hair of Tim Riggins are enough of a draw among nostalgic Friday Night Lights‘ fans, but in effort to land more butts into movie theater seats this weekend, YouTube user Jehanr has added a dose of J-Hov to the film’s trailer. A shared last name is apparently enough of a peg to throw the best intro phrases and lighthearted grunts from Jay-Z’s back catalog, although we’d argue that even less of one would suffice. It’s the Roc! Watch below as Kitsch’s action film becomes Shawn Carter of Mars, the same story, now with a much more memorable soundtrack.
