With its season finale less than one week away, the cast of NBC’s Parenthood has found the time to goof off on set and remind us just how much we’ll miss them this summer. The extended Braverman family lip dubbed the music video for LFO’s “Girl on TV,” reimagined by Landon Pigg, singer-songwriter and boyfriend to the show’s Mae Whitman. Giving the males full rein, Craig T. Nelson, Miles Heizer and Tyree Brown serve as your Light Funky Ones, doing their best to pay tribute to the series of lovely ladies that haunt their dreams and frequent their TV screens (Whitman, Bonnie Bedelia and Savannah Paige Rae). Most of the cast joins in as backup—we thought you were a dancer, Joy Bryant?—and while there have been no shortage of silly Adam Braverman dance sequences on the show’s three seasons, seeing Peter Krause’s failed attempts at ’90s white kid hip-hop moves in front of various Bay Area scenery feels as fresh as ever. But most exciting to Parenthood—and Friday Night Lights—fans is the return of Michael B. Jordan. Swiftly handling the song’s rap verse, Jordan serenades “girl in the green dress” Sarah Ramos on the beach, stoking our anticipation for an Alex-Haddie reunion on the finale. But really, since creator Jason Katims knows some people, how long do we have to wait for an old FNL lip dub to hit the Internet? We all know Tim Riggins has some suppressed boy band moves hidden under his mesmerizing hair, and there couldn’t have been that much to do in Texas.
If you still aren’t watching Parenthood, allow this to change your mind.
