Ellen’s Princesses Are In Awe Of Flo Rida

Ellen DeGeneres sent princesses Sophia Grace and Rosie to the Grammy Award to do their usual schtick: interact with celebrities while wearing tiaras. For the most part the girls held off on the singing and rapping, except when in the presence of Adam Levine—further proof that “Moves Like Jagger” will continue to trickle out of the speakers of convenient stores and lame sports bars for at least six more months. The girls have already met Rihanna, so their brief chat with Ms. Fenty felt more like catching up with an old friend or cool older sister who lets you borrow her clothes. And while they were sweet enough to personalize a guitar for Taylor Swift, their gift went slightly underappreciated—because it’s not as good as an actual Grammy, or Tay can’t handle being the only precocious one in the room? By far the cutest thing, though, was seeing how excited Sophia became at meeting Flo Rida (at least someone is!). Not just anyone gets to see the man without his sunglasses, let alone wear them.

Like Ross the Intern before them, Sophia and Rosie are really setting themselves up for a major career in the States, once they finish university—and primary and secondary schooling. But before you complain about daytime television exploiting these girls, rest assured that there were ample sandwiches and juice boxes on hand. Good journalists need their strength.
