Like Lionel Richie’s “Hello” last month, music provides ample inspiration for the most knowledgeable of cinephiles—or the most ambitious Internet dwellers with plenty of time on their hands—to show off their stuff. In a week that’s already featured no shortage of great viral finds, the minds behind The Eclectic Method present you with “99 Problems in Film,” which takes The Black Album track and splices its lyrics together through a series of quick shots in cinematic history. Jay-Z’s black and white affair is often regarded as one of his best—don’t fuck with Rick Rubin—and this meme may quickly bleed itself dry unless people start using Disney films and Disney films only. That said, it will never not be enjoyable to see the animated characters from Aladdin, Vito Corleone and John Travolta a la Pulp Fiction come together to embody the words of Hova. Watch below.
