Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48, her representative Kristen Foster confirmed to CNN on Saturday night. Houston passed away on Saturday in Los Angeles, although the cause of death and location where she died is unclear at this time. Houston was reportedly scheduled to appear at Clive Davis’ Grammy Award party on Saturday night in Los Angeles, an annual event that celebrates the impending show.
Initial reports that the the six-time Grammy Award winner was found in her room at the Beverly Hilton hotel by Ray J have been denied by representatives. Houston struggled with addiction throughout much of her later career, and voluntarily entered a rehab facility for drug and alcohol in May 2011. We’ll update with further information as it comes.
