The Popdust Files: adam levine, golf, the haney project

Most people, if they’re watching Adam Levine on TV, are going to do it on The Voice or for some reason with the Beach Boys at the Grammys. (We’re still confused.) Now there’s another option: The Haney Project on the Golf Channel (named after/featuring Hank Haney, Tiger Woods’ coach), in which Adam will compete against Mario Batali, Sugar Ray Leonard and model Angie Everhart for golf bragging rights and sending $100,000 to charity. The show premieres Feb. 27 at 9 p.m.

That said, the main draw of Adam Levine arguably isn’t watching him golf so much as hearing him wisecrack, and the show at least delivers that beforehand. In a promo trailer, Adam talks about how he got into the sport and donned “embarrassing” golf gear (his word choice) because of peer pressure and how he’s the Johnny Cash of golf, the all-black-everything, tattoos-and-cussing rebel with a club. He’s also spotted actually golfing. As a side note.

Watch the trailer here.
