Unisys chosen by Pennsylvania Dept of Public Welfare for network upgrade.(Brief Article) go to web site pennsylvania child support

Telecomworldwire October 12, 2001 Unisys Corporation, an e-business solutions company, is set to provide a technology and services upgrade to the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare’s (DPW) Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement System (PACSES). site pennsylvania child support

The upgrade is to include approximately USD41m in server technology and outsourced services. It will provide the provision of more computing power as well as an improved data storage system.

Currently the DPW is using the Unisys Clearpath 5800 mainframe computer, this will be upgraded to the more recent 6800 series processor. In addition, older data storage components will be replaced with subsystems that encompass magnetic and disk storage systems.
