Much like the rest of us, Justin Bieber is savoring his time off this week by hanging out with family and playing hockey with members of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Just your average trip home, right? After his hometown special revealed a causal free skate with Tyler Bozak, Dion Phaneuf and other NHL pros, Bieber posted a video of his recent outing to Twitter, in yet another way to make you rethink your accomplishment of breezing through the first season of Dexter during your holiday vacation. Set to the sounds of fellow Canadian Drake, the clip has the feel of a student athlete highlight reel, edited with the appropriate slow-motion effect just as Bieber manages to float the puck past Maple Leafs goalie Jonas Gustavsson. How many takes were needed for that? Or is letting celebrities score written into Maple Leaf contracts? Kidding! They know the kid can ball. We’ll start the betting on how many universities have started writing their recruitment letters to the Bieb at five.

So now we can add hockey playing to the list of Things 17-year-old Justin Bieber Does Better Than You, which already includes singing, dancing and dating. But does his skating prowess rival his basketball skills? We’ll have to wait and see if he gets invited to the 2012 NHL All-Star game.
