The Popdust Files: feuds, justin bieber, mariah yeater

After publicly denying the paternity allegations of 20-year-old Mariah Yeater on Today this week, Justin Bieber is prepared to take her to court. According TMZ, the 17-year-old has lawyered up, with his attorney Howard Weitzman meeting with Yeater’s own legal team on Friday to discuss the terms for a future DNA test. To prove how serious Bieber is treating thes claims that he fathered a child with Yeater last year, as well as how confident his team is that they are indeed false, Weitzman reportedly revealed that they are also prepared to sue Yeater if when the results come back negative. Bieber’s sources say they are pushing for legal action to prove that “hurtful” statements against celebrities have their consequences. Viva la 1%! Currently in Belfast, Northern Ireland for the MTV European Music Awards, Weitzman has already selected the laboratory where Bieber can take the test in two weeks’ time when he returns to the States. So these baby daddy claims are serious, but not serious enough to derail his travel plans. Kids and their priorities.
