Spoiler Alert: David Guetta And Usher’s “Without You” Video Preview

With increasing frequency, artists are taking to social networks and premiering frustratingly brief teaser clips from their upcoming videos. These are usually between zero and 45 seconds in length and tend to do two things: leave you wanting more video, and leave you wanting fewer teasers. We can’t address the latter. What we can do, however, is help with the former, so, based solely on the preview, Popdust will miraculously predict what transpires in the unseen full-length video.
Today’s video teaser: David Guetta and Usher’s “Without You.”
Run-length: 17 seconds, many of which just say “David Guetta,” “Usher” or are similar freeze-frames of text.
Summary: David Guetta flings his arms wide open. Usher sings and shakes his head. Buildings crumble, asphalt cracks, fault lines creak across the landscape, and the tectonic plates of the earth reformulate themselves into another Pangaea. There’s also about one second of dancing, because this is a Guetta song.
What could come next: Eventually, scientists believe, the continents will reform into another big supercontinent; it’ll just take millions of years. David Guetta’s beat, however, is crackling enough to literally split the earth and send the continents rocketing into one another. Oceans give way to mountains, all of which give way to massive, deadly cracks in the earth, volcanic lava and ash. When the fissures are too many and when the atmosphere becomes near-inhabitable, Guetta and Usher (who’s been singing this entire time, only on camera in one-second chunks) realize what sort of shit is going down and board a conveniently supplied spaceship that takes them as far from the galaxy as they can stand. Meanwhile, the dancers below are pummeled, drowned, crushed or worse, while David Guetta and Usher are safe to find another planet to pulverize. Every continent coming back together: it’s one big party!
