Hear J. Cole and Chris Brown On a New DJ Drama Song, “Undercover”

Can’t seem to go anywhere these days without running into J. Cole, the country’s reigning #1 on the albums charts this week. Most recently, he was enlisted by DJ Drama (of Gangsta Grillz fame) to appear on his new cut “Undercover,” along with his good buddy Chris Brown. Breezy croons about “licking on your spine, playing with your mind” (yikes) while Cole takes his turn shouting out the year’s most common hip-hop namedrop, “I’m on some Marvin Gaye shit / You know just what’s gon’ heal me,” the two promising on the chorus that “where we goin’ / nobody has to know but you / ain’t nobody gon’ see you / ‘Coz I’m undercover, shorty.” (He might not have been famous for long, but it appears J. is already well-trained for celebrity status.)
Drama’s Third Power is in stores next week, featuring such other big-name collaborators as Fabolous, Meek Mill, B.o.B. and Wale. DJ Drama claims the album to represent three generations of hip-hop: “the music I came up on, the movements that I was a part of, and a whole new generation of Hip-Hop that is changing the face of music.” We’re not sure which umbrella if any “Undercover” falls under, but it’s fairly decent anyway.
