The Popdust Files: book, book cover, t.i.

Big shit is popping for T.I. over in the dramatic fiction rack. The rapper, who recently returned to prison after an exceptionally brief respite, has evidently been busy trying to get his literary career kicked off, and recently co-authored a novel with famed music biographer David Ritz, given the spot-on title of Power & Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets. The story, according to Rap-Up.com, “follows two friends who grew up on the mean streets of Atlanta” (shocker), and will be available at bookstores Oct. 18th. And there’s even cover art! Like you might expect, the cover image depicts a giant grasshopper arm-wrestling with an invisible giraffe the faces of a man and woman overlooking the city skyline. It’s like it’s already its own movie adaptation!
