Selena Gomez Will Bring Her Adorableness To Pre-VMA Show
Because “black carpets” can’t host themselves, Selena Gomez will helm MTV’s coverage leading up to the 2011 VMAs, EW reports. The hour-long pre-show will feature a performance by Cobra Starship and Sabi, and will likely include Gomez interacting with her peer to infinite degrees of cute and helping to further hype the main show’s rumored performances, all while attempting to fend off the advances of Tyler, the Creator. “I am very excited to be a part of the 2011 VMA’s! After all of my years watching the VMA’s, the pre-show has always been one of my favorite parts. It is a true honor to be hosting from the black carpet this year” the 19-year-old said, noting her antiquity when it comes to televised award shows. Since Gomez has no idea how to mask her own excitement when meeting other celebrities, we’re genuinely excited by this choice—if they’re pulling from the nominee pool, it could be much worse. But what happens when a certain Canadian strolls by? Remember the journalistic principle of objectivity!
