The Popdust Files: soulja boy
Swag is dead. We said this months ago. But now, in the grand tradition of corporations co-opting slang–even slang as tiresome as “swag” these days–a shoe company that we will not name has heroically stepped in and, in the process, united Matt & Kim, Andrew W.K. and Soulja Boy for a disposable song called “I’m a Goner”! They’ve done it before with the likes of Best Coast and Kid Cudi, but this one is a SUMMER SONG with BUILT-IN SWAG! Huzzah!
We have nothing to say about the song that you aren’t already thinking. Right now we’re just trying to figure out who’ll be more pissed that this thing exists: Matt & Kim fans, Andrew W.K. fans or Soulja Boy fans.
