Congratulations, Internet. You’ve found a new foolproof method for viral success by assembling a video consisting of cute animals set to the sounds of the newest hip-hop jam. Two birds with one stone. If you are in the middle of Watching the Throne, you should definitely abandon the traditional “Otis” clip—even if it contains Aziz Ansari—for this Milo and Otis retelling of the album’s first video. Jay (an adorable pug) and ‘Ye (a tiny kitten) traverse farms, forests and the high seas, with help from several animal friends, all in the name of building their future rap empire. “Nevertheless, as if they knew how much they would need each other, Kanye and Jay-Z became The Throne,” the narrator announces dramatically, before launching in an alternative version of the Spike Jonze creation. Do dogs have to fight the paparazzi, too? What would be the equivalent to the other other Benz in the animal kingdom? Of course the real question is whether any animal is cuddlier than Tom Haverford, who at times also happens to resemble man’s best friend. We humans really shouldn’t be this easy to figure out. And yet…
