Debbie Gibson recently dished popstar advice to younger stars like Justin Bieber, but now it seems like she is taking a cue from the new music generation, by utilizing what the kids today call “the hip and the hop” in her live performances. Gibson unearthed her classic “Only In My Dreams” for Good Morning America on Friday, practicing the proven method of making an old song more exciting with a new rap remix. But instead of ushering in a surprise guest, the additional verse came courtesy of the 40-year-old herself. And Kathy Beth Terry’s mom know how to get down. This video has everything you could ever need: Sporadic rhyming, a sexy garter, and a keytar. Too bad Tiffany didn’t deliver a dubstep remix to “I Think We’re Alone Now.” Watch “Only In My Dreams,” updated for 2011, below.
