The New York state senate passed a bill that will legalize same-sex marriage on Friday, by a vote of 33-29. The law will go into effect July 24, making New York the sixth and largest state where gay and lesbian couples will have the right to wed. Though the news broke late Friday evening, pop stars did not wait for the morning after to make their support and enthusiasm known on Twitter. Below, a roundup:
