First Justin Bieber, now Miley Cyrus—our pop stars are in danger! Cyrus closed out a performance of her Gypsy Heart Tour in Melbourne, Australia on Friday in typical, triumphant fashion with motivational ballad “The Climb.” Everything was business as usual, until one excited female fan took those lyrics to heart, climbing her way to the stage and making a run towards the star. While we’re sure all she wanted was a hug or a chance at a guest verse, she could only manage to get one arm around her idol before a security guard three times her size tackled her to the ground, nearly taking Cyrus out with her. (“Oh god!” Miley said appropriately, likely followed by “I’m sorry that he had to do that to my fan, but I can’t help it that I’m popular!”) Cyrus’ security probably did more than damage than the wee little fan ever could have been capable of, but we suppose you can never be too careful these days. After yesterday’s Bieber fiasco, and Chris Brown and Rihanna‘s alleged Twitter hacks, no one seems safe anymore. Are there no good security crews left in town? (Where have all the cowboys gone?)
