50 Cent Delivers Twitter Ultimatum On New Album

When it comes to 50 Cent’s new album, shit feels like it’s moving in slow motion. Or so says 50 Cent, about label Interscope Records:

What followed: an ultimatum, not tempered by an “I’m sorry, but…” (“I will not be releasing a new album this year if we don’t get on the same page.”); something in-between a mopey admission and a threat (“I don’t know why they play with me they know how I get.”); and then this:

For the record, 50′s last album came out in 2009, which isn’t all that long ago! Dude could be Kate Bush, who once had a 12-year gap between albums. Closer to his genre, he might have had a long-gestating Detox on his hands. Or maybe, since we’re on the topic of beef, he could be Justin Timberlake. Two years? Average.

Anyway, this provoked exactly the sort of fan furor you’d expect, much of it retweeted with comments from 50′s one-man peanut gallery. All the Twitter-teary fans must’ve gotten to him, or perhaps he wanted to up the Interscope brinkmanship, because the latest from 50 is this:
