The Popdust Files: selena gomez
The world hasn’t yet been fully saturated with Selena Gomez songs this month, it seems–what we’ve got here is what appears to be a chip off “We Own the Night.” The track was co-written by British singer Pixie Lott and, from the chunk we’ve got, is an ode to being young, seizing the weekend for dancing and generally doing whatever. Fun! And already more of a song than “Bang Bang Bang.”
There are two ways to listen to this: go to YouTube and get lost in the morass of chipmunked versions, fakeouts and Jessie and the Toy Boys that defines the modern searching experience. Or you could go to Tumblr and get what appears to be the real thing. One of the less high-pitched versions is below, for those who don’t want to click away.
